BOB operates two types of train, newer trains are gradually being introduced - though for such relatively short journeys, the type of train you will be travelling by is fairly unimportant.
1st class is available.

A plus of the newer trains, is that electronic displays on the side of coaches, indicate whether a train will be heading to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Photographers will want to know that on both types of trains the windows can be opened.

Tickets and Passes:

Tickets and details of journeys between Interlaken Ost and Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfraujoch, Mürren, Schyinge Platte and Wengen are available on the ‘Jungfrau Top Of Europe’ website.

Eurail Pass, InterRail Pass and Swiss Travel Passes users can obtain a 25% discount on the full journey price and these special tickets can be issued at all stations, including the Advance Travel desk at Interlaken Ost station.
