These trains can be referred to by TFW as 'its Mk 4 trains', as it made the sensible decision to acquire some of the comparatively Mark 4 coaches that until recently were used on the London <> Edinburgh route.
They are now used to provide some of the services on the Manchester - Crewe - Shrewsbury - Hereford - Newport - Cardiff route, the departures which have a 1 symbol on the timetable.

They are also used for some of the services on the Cardiff <> Holyhead route - the train which typically departs Cardiff at 17:14; and the train which typically departs Holyhead at 05:30.
